How To Heal & Prevent Cracked Dry Feet

I know many people suffer from dry & cracked feet, especially in summer. This is because we are tougher on our feet, and our skin is more exposed to the elements. Try this at-home treatment to heal and prevent cracked, dry feet. Remember: Wet the skin, and lock it in!

Your At-Home Treatment

Do this before bed, then put on some cotton socks - your feet will still feel blissful in the morning!

As always, prevention is the best cure - use your moisturiser every day, especially after a shower.

Get regular pedicures. If your feet/heels are cracked and dry, then try the full steps below every day for a week, then 2-3 times a week for maintenance (the days in between just soaking and moisturising) over the summer period.

  1. Soak your feet in warm water for 10 min.
  2. Over wet skin, massage honey into any rough or cracked places. Honey has amazing healing properties.
  3. Add a little bit of the warm water for more slip - keep massaging.
  4. Massage in a little more honey, then a little more water - do this 3 times before rinsing off in warm water.

If your skin is cracked to the point it is painful and/or bleeding, you can do the same routine - but instead use the Calendula Concentrate (with a dropper) to the skin before applying your moisturiser. If it’s too sore to even touch, then soak, calendula concentrate and spray with Soothing Mist until you are able to touch it.
