“Hi, my name is Emma, and I’ve been a beauty therapist since 1987. Over my years in the industry, I have worked a variety of roles from managing clinics to working solo from home. Wherever I have worked, my core philosophies have always been the same; working with skin and beauty from the inside out. I’ve been part of the lovesoul team since 2018, how time flies!!
My time here has been such a joy getting to know so many of our wonderful clients in our community and introducing them to our Janesce & Bestow Beauty skin care philosophies. It’s been very rewarding working with you all getting the best from your skins. I especially love pampering through face & body spa treatments. Skin & beauty is totally fulfilling and what I love!”
Interview with Emma
What do you love most about being a beauty therapist?
I love looking after clients with their face and body treatments, as well as the rewards of guiding them through their skin journey.
Could you share a bit about your journey in this industry and any milestones you’ve achieved?
I have been a therapist for 35 years, and I enjoy learning about new products and helping clients achieve their best results. Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting some wonderful people, which has only deepened my love for my job. One of the milestones that stands out is when I work with a client to address a potential skin problem, and together we achieve a great result.
What is your favourite treatment? (to give and/or receive)
Facials and pedicures are my favorites because they provide relaxation and deliver great end results.
What is your favourite beauty product or tool that you can’t live without?
Could you talk about your philosophy when it comes to skincare and wellness?
My philosophy revolves around maintaining a fit and healthy lifestyle and following a simple, effective skincare routine that suits my skin’s needs. I strive to empower my clients with the knowledge and tools to achieve lasting results, ensuring they not only look fabulous but also feel confident in their own skin.
What’s your go-to form of self-care to unwind after a busy day?
After a busy day, I find relaxation and peace by spending time with my animals; as they have no expectations of me, I can truly wind down and relax!
Besides being a talented beauty therapist, what are some things you love to do outside of your profession?
Apart from being a beauty therapist, I enjoy spending time with my family, riding my horse, and being social - catching up with friends!
What’s something you wish all clients knew about when it comes to skin care?
One thing I wish all clients knew about is the significance of Skin Soaking, and how it should be the first step in making any changes to your skin or skin condition. After all these years of being a therapist, I have found it to be one of the best methods for skin hydration and overall skin health.
